  1. First wash the foxtail flakes in a strainer and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil in a kadai add peanuts and cashew nuts fry them and keep aside. Now same kadai add mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, hing and ginger and sauté few seconds, then add onion and fry some times.

  3. Now add salt, turmeric powder, grated carrots and peas, sauté 3-4 minutes then add soaked foxtail flakes and mix properly.

  4. Lastly add fried peanuts and cashew nuts mix it well and cook on low flame by covering 2-3 minutes then turn off the flame. Foxtail flakes Upma is ready to serve.
