Good Food Thrive Project

India has the highest child malnutrition rate globally as per the latest UNICEF reports.

The Good Food Thrive Project, is India’s first of a kind a malnutrition eradication initiative spearheaded by the Y2K Tots Foundation, aimed at addressing the severe malnutrition crisis in India, which holds the unfortunate distinction of having the highest malnutrition rate in the world.
Despite various advancements, millions of children in India continue to suffer from the debilitating effects of malnutrition, which stunts growth, weakens immunity, and impacts cognitive and emotional development. According to recent reports, over 35% of children under the age of five in India are stunted, and about 19% are severely wasted due to insufficient access to nutritious food.

Nutrient-Rich Millet Meals for Health & Growth

Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the project aims to fulfill:

To combat this alarming issue, the Good Food Thrive Project provides (RTC) millet-based nutritious meals, which are rich in essential proteins, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Millets are not only nutritionally dense but also resilient crops, making them sustainable in regions facing water shortages and other agricultural challenges. These meals boost children’s immunity, aid in healthy growth, and support mental and emotional well-being—key factors in their ability to thrive academically and socially.

Striving to end poverty in all its forms, the project targets the most vulnerable sections of society, ensuring children from impoverished backgrounds have access to nutritious meals.

With a focus on eradicating hunger, the project directly contributes to food security, improved nutrition, and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices by incorporating millets—a grain known for its resilience and high nutritional value.

By ensuring access to nutritious food, the initiative plays a crucial role in enhancing the health and development of children, helping to prevent disease and improve their quality of life.

Nurturing Growth: Advancing Child Nutrition and Community Well-Being

The project has the potential to directly benefit 2.5 million children annually, ensuring they receive vital nutrients necessary for their physical, cognitive, and emotional growth. In addition, the Good Food Thrive Project indirectly impacts over 100,000 people each year through awareness campaigns, educating communities on the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits. The Good Food Thrive Project depends on donor support to continue its vital work. Without sufficient funding, many children may still face the preventable effects of malnutrition. Your donation can make a real difference by providing nutritious meals that help children grow stronger and healthier. By contributing, you’re investing in a brighter future for those in need.
